Orienteering (Para Wirra) 46:00 [3] *** 3.1 km (14:50 / km) +110m 12:36 / km

Para Wirra - I did the shortest hard course and I think I made the correct decision! Scratchy and steep as always, but a reasonably fun course. I navigated pretty well - even hitting the two controls on random cliffs in the middle of nothing pretty much smack on. Just lost myself in some yakka from 7-8 not checking my bearing and ended up 200m further south down a road when I came out of a thicket than I wanted to be, but worked out straight away what I'd done. Legs were super tired after yesterdays run - I realised in the car it was hurting to rest my arms on my quads! :)

Run (Belair) 48:00 [3] 6.5 km (7:23 / km) +200m 6:24 / km
slept:8.0

Ran from home up the park boundary to the pylon track, down to Long Gully, along the creek and home up the Adventure Loop trail. It was hard work running up the boundary after running up Rankeys, but once I could see the big power lines I kept telling myself "you only have to get to them without walking and then it's downhill" - of course I forgot that they aren't the right powerlines the track is under and I got there and realised I still had two more gullies to plunge down and two more hills to climb! So I walked for a few seconds on each hill, but not for long. Then I had to walk about 1/3 of the Adventure Loop hill and about 2/3 of the last small hill from the bottom of Rankeys to our street. Still, I'm pretty impressed with my effort. THis is the longest run I've done since having Paddy by about 400m, it took me 10 minutes longer, but was a lot more hilly and I did more walking and stopping to catch my breath on the last two hills (included in time). :)

Walk to apex park with L&S. Lots of toddlers racing around with their balance bikes - looks like so much fun.

Pram walk (belair) 1:40:00 [2]
slept:7.0

To the adventure playground in belair to meet A&C for lunch. Then up to old gov house and along the creek to Apex park (this was full of toddlers and their families in the late afternoon) and home over the hill. Got a bit carried away wearing shorts and sandals and was a bit chilly sitting g in belair - fine walking though. Spotted a mega koala and a couple of normal ones - must be mating season as I've heard them grunting near our home at night.
