Quite apprehensive beforehand about how knee would hold up but it's been great past couple of weeks and I was desperate to try a race!
Really fun route, lots of small hills to start then a steep climb up (catching the girls up here!) and back the same way :) managed to pick up from 4th to 2nd on the way back so really pleased with that :) really enjoyed it! Felt better up the hills than the flat bits. Knee held out fabulously but the rest of me has definitely forgotten how to work hard!
From Braco to Stirling uni with a loop to Alva whilst the sprinto-ers were running.. really windy to start with! Found a VERY steep hill and had to strategically fall off onto a soft patch (couldn't unclip!!) rather than wait to fall in the road! 40km.

Then ran up Dumyat :D :D from the uni along a path to Menstrie, up Dumyat the horribly steep way, over to the other little top and back down :D nooo knee problems :D :D and loved being back up the hills!
8 weeks to skyrace.. hoping the combination of cycling and running will compensate for lack of long runs!
