Orienteering 34:13 [5] 5.1 km (6:43 / km) +230m 5:28 / km

3rd leg on ShUOC find ralph a wife :) last shuoc relay I think noooooo :(

Apart from a bad route choice to 1 and finding all the wrong gaffles on no2 (down 2.45 by that point), the rest was good (missed 12 a little maybe 30s there) :) enjoyed being out, legs felt very tired but it was so much fun, panicked a bit when I ran to a control I was so sure was no17 but wasn't checked codes this time woo!

I have loved this weekend :) everything! including the stresses of Thursday and Friday with the chalet, travelling down on Friday morning taking 90mins longer and the keys being locked in the car it has been really fun :) happy with the races too, no massive mistakes and actually able to keep my head without freaking out, so now to get fitter and work on going out and attacking from the start and keeping strong at the end of races :)

Warming up and down, tummy feeling horrible!

Orienteering 1:18:27 [5] 11.5 km (6:49 / km) +250m 6:09 / km

Long - looking forward to this! Again plan was to keep it clean. Bit of a shaky start, dropped 40s on both 3 and 6, too far left on 3 and ran straight past 6! The rest of the course was good though, purposefully slowed down a lot at the far end in the green, ran up to find the path on 13 instead of going straight so I could find the depression then drop into the control, similarly to 14 I very much went from feature to feature, 15 a little hesitant but not really time loss there, I think if I hadn't been hesitant I would have got lost. The last few legs back I could feel I was getting really tired and so was taking track routes to be on the safe side.

Looking at splits, quite happy with how it went, again, as yesterday, I slow down by the end of a race so I think I need to try to keep pushing at the end and get more 'race-fit'.

Really enjoyed it though and am happy, no big time losses and was feeling confident. Need to be stronger for these races and be able to keep running hard at the end of the race. I do enjoy long races though.. :)

Orienteering race 35:00 [5] 5.6 km (6:15 / km) +240m 5:09 / km

Middle - I wanted as clean a race as possible without worrying about how fast I had to run cause I make too many big mistakes especially under a bit of pressure. Sooo really, today went quite well! Making sure to check compass, make a plan and tick off the main features. It did mean I was a bit too hesitant in places. Bit off to the right on 4 and too low on 6 (30s). Last loop was ok but I was feeing quite tired, looking at splits I slowed down at the end, and dropped 40-50s on 14 by picking a dodgy route choice. Overall though quite happy, no big mistakes like were happening in Portugal and have been happening at other big events, but need to be able to run hader at the end of a race.

Mp'd no. 11 :( wrong corner, didn't check codes.

Rest wasn't too bad, dropped 20s on 2, couldn't see the control up the ramp and was the wrong side of the wall to 4 (5s). Rest wasn't too bad but didn't feel fast enough for this course.

The tricky bit from the city chase 2009, missed out the last few dead running ones. Going ok, need to remember to check which way I'm leaving controls though.
