other (bailing) 30:00 [1]
slept:11.0 weight:175lbs (rest day)

Bailing the water out of my below ground balcony before it flooded my living room. About 30 minutes at 4am (just getting home) and another 35 minutes at 4pm. (just getting up). Had at least an inch to spare each time before it would have crested the sill. 2nd time I finished up with some plunger work on the drain. Did not seem to have any effect while doing it but the remaining water drained away slowly. It stopped raining just as I was finishing.

Hudson Highlander 9am.
Probably should not have gone out to dinner with Bev last night but had not planned to be very competitive this year anyway. Stayed out to late and still had to pack and burn some CDs to listen to on the drive up. Never made it to bed and left at 3:13 for NY, arriving at 8:17. Went out slow and got slower, walking most of the last 2 maps. Came close to cramping but never had to stop. Unusual highlander in that I spent most of the course alone or with people in the general area as opposed to orienteering in a pack. In the splits I see that I was near Dean S for much of the course. Except for sections near 8-9 and 10-12 we mostly went our own way and met up at the controls. Naviagated reasonably well until the last loop (I was definately alone then) when I blew 5 of the last 6 controls. Home by 11:30pm.
Splits and comments will be posted.
