QOC meet at Greenbelt. Sore and hurting from yesterday. Ran ok with one big error but beaten by most of my usual competition. Splits are posted.

Greenbelt Park MD. 11am Hanging some easy bags for tomorrow's QOC meet. Ted is course setter and was hanging the hard ones. Running time only.

run (roadrace) 31:53 [5] 5.0 mi (6:23 / mi)

Montgomery Co RRC. Over Hillandale 5mi, Hillendale MD. 8:30am Very hilly. Splits 6:35, 6:06, 6:43, 5:44, 6:45. I think the mile markers may have been a bit off. Finished 12th, 4th master. 37sec faster than last year. This is my goal pace (6:22mi) I want to run in a 10 mi race next month and have been using as my tempo pace in training.

At race in Hillandale. Out and back on first mile of course. Probably ran a little farther since miles were a little off during the race.

I've been short on my warmups and rest jogs because I usually do them in lane 6 but have not been adding enough extra distance. I increased the distance starting today.

DCRRC Wed Track. Washington and Lee HS. 7pm 4x1600m at tempo pace (6:20) with 1 min rest. (100m) 540m jog then 2x400 at under 5k pace (88) with 220m rest.

Note

Had great plans for long runs yesterday and today but just felt tired and did nothing. Hope it was my body saying I needed a rest and not just me being lazy.
