Quite a long way to go to MelbushO, especially when the jukola spectating party was a lot closer to home but I felt like going somewhere different and a bit more bushy.

Did long hard, it wasn't very long or very hard but ok run training. The crazy rain that hit Melbourne didn't get to Emerald so stayed nice a dry and was pretty pleasant.

Needed more km so ran pretty much all the paths on the map. Legs feeling pretty weary, parkrun seemed to take a lot out of me.

Had intended to ride at lysty on the way back but thought they'd probably close trails cos of the weather. Forgot my broken saddle. Instead I went to Emerald bakery which was amazing.

Bit of an experiment to see if I can run in the morning after taking the sleeping drugs. I took them early and was asleep by 10 but legs felt pretty lethargic. I didn't actually go that slowly though.

Today was meant to be a rest day to let me properly recover from the weekend. Went to sports massage this morning then looked at my phone to find some slightly frantic messages from a colleague who'd heard the sad news from Princes Park and was worried.

Didn't have plans for the evening so I made a last minute decision to go to street-o even though it was miles away. Didn't look out the window (or at the radar) so failed to notice it was pouring with rain and as such, got pretty wet.

Street-O was ok. Something weird was happening in the east of the map where either the roads have never been mapped or they've been deleted. This caused me to run past 1 while trying to work out what on earth was going on. Still got them all under the hour though had to push a bit at the end.

One person was asking about my torch, saying it's awesome and they want one. Someone else told me it was too bright (try to move it downwards when I can see people coming towards me).

Run with Reuben. Forgot to put my watch on straight away *shock*.

Didn't feel as terrible as I thought I might considering how much I was aching but still annoyingly slow. Reuben cut us short from the last loop, supposedly so I didn't overdo it (I think he was probably just bored of the slowness).

After saying surfing didn't feel like exercise my legs felt it differently. Felt really hard work again. Hoping this is just a blip.

Decided to go back for more - this time at the wreck. Waves bit stronger and shorter so not so much time to think about things but still getting up :)
