Was a bit apprehensive about this - Beacon Hill not being my favourite place the couple of times I've been there.

Was pleasantly surprised, mapped for sprint it makes a great race. I was a mix of cautious, and running til i hit big features and it mostly worked.

Bit of hesitation and couple of dodgy route choice:

3-4 via 5 was just a bit slow and then had to wait for people in front of me to go (slowly) into control. bit ratty

8. route fine but small where am i moment before realised i was right

8-9 went via 14 to road realised i couldn't get through (rookie sprint error of nto looking for the way in first) and went round to the west via 13 (tho didn't actually see it). I still think right round the path east would have been quicker.

13. bit hesitant.

legs started fading for the second half. Pretty pleased overall, though could have been a bit cleaner.

10-11 went past 12, south might have been quicker.

Nosh trail from Lindfield. So Two Creeks Track, then Flat Rock Track, Magazine track - some other track names I can't remember - then Bay track. I think this is the old route, anyway we ended up at Seaforth Oval before hitting a bit of Manly Dam and back to Manly via the road (I hate hte road)

Awesome trails. The overhanging rock on the 2 creeks still my favourite bit. need to check out the new mountain bike trails in bantry bay. bay track is pretty technical.

I started to fade - had bit of food but need more sugar/gels I think. Chris did really well considering it's the longest he's ever run, and going my slow steady pace is definitely a new experience.

Finished with a beer in the bavarian beer cafe as I believe is traditional for runs ending in Manly.

Had an early start at work and still waiting to hear when project is starting so thought I'd make the most of it and leave at 5 and go biking. For the first time ever the ferry was delayed for an indeterminate amount of time so (again) splashed out on the fast ferry.

It was pretty muddy, and my biking was pretty crap. Almost the longest the circuit has ever taken and walked down so much stuff I should be able to do. First time I've been up there since before Christmas so hopefully I'll get my confidence back sometime (being late on my own probably doesn't help).

Said hello to the few people I saw. 2 guys actually invited me to join them but I didn't think I'd keep up (I was right). The other guys I said hello to ended up later having a chat at the traffic lights on the way home - they'd bailed cos of the mud.

Bike has a funny rattle, don't know what's going on, and diagnostic tests via messenger don't work very well.

Not my best tonight. Hesitated at the beginning on the path down to the tunnel - just couldn't really see where it went and wasn't expecting tunnel to be so dark!

Went round the top to 30, just to be different, thought it'd be similar but was a fair bit slower.

Should have done 17->22->3->11 rather than 17->11->3 and coming back to 22 after 12.

Unsurprisingly hills felt like hard work. Got a nice wave from Jess out on the NRG Wednesday hills :)

Finally joined NRG for the hills session. Wasn't really sure what we were doing at first so took it pretty easy. Then I figured out it was pretty reminiscent of the Springvale Rd Spiral. I hadn't realised that when we got to the top we were going to do it all again in reverse...

Pleased to do all this, not stop and go up a bit through the people as time went on.

Trying to heel/toe where it's nto too uphill - def seems to give me more lift. Very happy that Paula now says I have quads :)

For some reason the gpx file i'm downloading is including stoppage time - which isn't on garmin connect. This is annoying.
