Mourne skyline virtual challenge (run a min of 35km plus 1,350m climb). Had planned a run with ME before seeing this option, so decided to extend my run with her to go the distance, just so that I could claim my highly expensive race buff! From GT out the Firmounth as far as Gannoch then round the tops to Hill of Cat and Cock Cairn. M left me there and I continued on towards MK on the same line I’d run a few weeks ago. It was clagged in the whole way and I found it hard to get much enthusiasm, especially once I’d lost Ms good company. Surprisingly busy on top of MK. Decided then to head straight back out the main track - boring but I could make good time on it. By the time I got back down the glen I still needed to find 50m of climb, so diverted round by the mill pond to make it up. Feeling pretty foot sore and tired by the end but pleased that I did it. Time for a rest day or two now.

Balmoral with BS. Round some of the cairns then out onto a ripe hill loop. Finished back over by Albert. More tracky than my usual preferred options but aiming to keep B sweet ;-) Feeling a bit rubbish after a poor sleep and HR higher than it should be for this effort. However, I do appear to have set a couple of segment PRs during the run, so guess we were moving ok. Will keep a watch on HR, but probably plan an easy day or two after tmrw.

Long LK and CD feelgood loop. Pleasantly surprised that legs weren't too bad, as I could really feel that they'd worked after yesterday's session. A fair few autumn photo stops, but working moderately well in between and felt like I was running the hills "on my toes" ok.

Craig Leek VR. Legs definitely not feeling very fresh but worked them as hard as I was able. Pleased to break the hour - was flogging myself down the track when I saw it was doable. Good workout for sure. Segment failed to register.

From Potties to Feughside, all the way out to FoB, then back by S Greens. Cleared up nicely and lovely autumn colours heading out the FoB road. Taking it chill. Fresh air felt particularly good today. I have a serious fresh air and exercise addiction.
