Loop round Ballochbuie with J taking in bbq hut, green bridge and white bridge. Legs not too bad after yesterday and felt comfortable enough plodding up the first hill. Chilly wind when the sun went in!

Carn a Mhaim, Ben Macdui and Derry Cairngorm from DL with KH and JS. Faaaab. Way better day than forecast with just a wee cloud cap on Macdui. Felt surprisingly ok running, and for once didn't spend the whole run at the back! Came a cropper just before top of DC, slipping on the rock, but only minor damage which settled down once I got going again.
Saw only 3 pairs of people on the hill and then a whole pile going in to DL as we headed out at midday - very satisfying!
So good to be up that way again and nice to stop at the Bothy for coffee on the way home too :-)

From Keiloch, through Ballochbuie on the main drag to Balmoral, then back along the road to Aberarder. MTB with road slicks, but having some mech issues with gears. Hoping it will hold together enough for tmrw, then get it in for repair next week.

Redburn- Culblean-Cambus loop with J, SR, ME and BS. Bit dreich but just about stayed dry for the duration. Long slog up the track onto Culblean, but a good one for trying to keep running. Couldn’t resist attacking the mtb descent off Culblean, although would have been easier in dobs and rock was a bit wet, so didn’t get too carried away. Tired slog back across the shoulder from Cambus. Put an effort in to try and not get dropped too much. Def counts as an effort 4 overall.

Glen Tanar lap of Baudy Meg. Had planned to do some kind of hill session or the DR virtual race, but was feeling a bit flat and unmotivated. Enjoyed this once I got going, although never felt very bright.

300km with 10,500m climb for June is pretty satisfying for first month back from injury. Fingers crossed things are holding together and I haven't got too carried away.
