From Baddoch up the spur to Carn Aosda then west to Carn a Gheoidh. Someone switched the lights off at this point with thunder / darkness to the north, just where I was headed next. Carried on across the Baddoch Burn (low level escape option) and round to the col between Beinn Iutharn Bheag and An Socach at which point it was decision time. The hail came on at this point, so I abandoned the former and headed up An Socach, deciding that the lightning was still a few miles away. Cleared out a bit after this so continued on round the tops via Sgor Mor before descending back to Baddoch. Felt like I was going ok for most of the time. Nice conditions underfoot apart from a section of heathery peat-hag slog round towards An Socach.
Peewits, curlew, grouse chicks, cloudberry, hares, deer, golden plover and dotterel
