7Stanes Kirroughtree blue. Didn't feel too relaxed today. Single track sections were a lot rougher than I remember from the last time we were here. Not so keen on wet tree roots and rock either. Some great sections of trail though. Caught the worst weather window, but once we were wet it didn't really matter.

Brightened up nicely in the afternoon and couldn't resist a wee bonus jaunt up Criffel. Bottom section of track was really good but above the forest the path was a boggy mud fest. Calfs feeling it big time on the steep climb (500m in 2.5km). Big smiles at the top.
Newcastleton 7Stanes blue loop plus a short section of the red and an extra loop on the bottom of the blue. Good fun. Feeling really unconfident technically - so long since we've done any proper MTB - but happy to take things steadily. Escaped the lashing rain in the north for a lovely bright afternoon.
Foot passed the "run up and down the stairs" test, so went for a run round the woods and fields. No problems while out or after. All good. Mingin' day but caught a break in the worst of it. Bumper apple harvest in too.
Foot still causing some issues, so trying to keep off it as much as possible for a day or two. MTB round Bellwood to hang and collect controls with a few forays into the terrain (just enough to get another 2 sets of wet kit). Foot was ok, but being really careful and avoiding too much flexing / push through.
Hanging and collecting for holiday camp at Dess. Out at 08:30 and didn't feel good at all. Strange pain under the arch of left foot after I got back... comes and goes but can't put any weight on when it comes. Best not to do any more today.
Chilled ride out over Pitmurchie and on to Tar Rd, then back by church brae to Lumph and DAP. Roads a bit greasy, so taking it carefully. Legs not too bad at all.
