Orienteering 30:00 [2]

Junior training at Bellwood - control hanging, TS w-u and chasing around to check on missing controls. Got wet feet control hanging and they never thawed out after that.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [4]

"Sondagsbana" at Glen Tanar with Maroc TS, inspired by CatTs description of Tisdagsbana. Was arm-chair planned with the aid of bing maps to supplement the 1993 O map and worked surprisingly well. Really enjoyed the thrash through the terrain and was very happy to keep in touch with EM and PM (albeit EM had been training hard in the morning too!). Even with only 7 runners this worked really well as a session. Would never have kept the same effort up on my own.

Mountain biking 1:00:00 [2]

With E from Knockburn up the Kerloch track initially and then the left fork where the hill track turns right. Had planned to take the diagonal track down towards the farm above K'burn from the high point but were short of time and wasn't sure how good it would be, so came back down the edge of the forest to rejoin our outward route instead. Some good biking with an ok gradient on the climb - will return on my own to explore a bit more sometime. Lots of stops and not moving very fast with E - out for 1:30ish.
Best ever turnout for the Maroc run at 32.

From the bridge in Aboyne out to Tower of Ess on the road, along the S side of the Tanar then up the diagonal track to junction above osprey nest. Left back along to the Guard and down the Fungle. Good run. Wasn't feeling that bright but had some serious frustrations to run off and they helped me work up the hill. Feeling much more chilled again by the end.

Gramp score event at Hazlehead. Really not in the mood for this and was vrey much going through the motions. Got me out to do more than I would otherwise at least, and E enjoyed it.

Running warm up/down 33:00 [2]

Round the woods and down the DW towards Kinker to do some intervals on the flatter bit, then back home after. With J and E on bike.

Running intervals 12:00 [4]

2 sets of 4 x 1' + 30" with 5' jog back between the 2 sets. Feeling tired and never found top gear. Must be better than plodding though.

With J and E from home E on DW to Potties and up to Slewdrum, loop round the woods on new track then back home again. Good fresh air. Out for best part of 2:30 including faffing with brakes and chain repair. Going to have to improve our tool kits and skills before the easter hols.
