Steady round the woods, not feeling too bad. Managed to catch a break in the monsoon. Shame they've chosen the last couple of weeks to do forestry work - tracks are a disaster. Another pair of soggy shoes to add to the growing pile.
Lucked out this morning with a 90' run in the dry and even some glimpses of sunshine. From Dinnet across the Muir a-c round Loch Kinord to BoV. Did hill reps on the track above the car park, then back round the other side of Loch Kinord taking in the dragonfly loop too. First long Friday run in ages and really enjoyed it. Lots of bird life in and around the water and everything looking beautiful as always.
Running hills 30:00 [5]
4 x 4 hills again. Felt tougher today. Guess I'm not used to doing 3 sets in less than a week, but managed to grind it out. Legs didn't feel too bad on the run back.
Another set of Helen's 4x4 hills. At Kingshill. Hill levelled out a lot after 2 1/2 minutes but probably not a bad spot for them. I like this session:
1. Once you've done 2 reps you're half way there
2. There's a nice long recovery
3. You don't need to attack balls out - so good on your own
4. Certainly know that I've done something after ;-}
Running warm up/down 24:00 [2]
To and from hills.
Not impressed to see they've started charging for parking at Countesswells. Didn't have my wallet with me anyhow.
Relaxed bike with E after school. From Cambus below the quarries to the Crannach Burn, down the other side, across A93 to DW and back. Nice afternoon and good active recovery.
