Stoney 1/2 marathon. Being positive I did it.
Hamstrings were still tight but felt a bit better after warm up. Set off steady but felt uncomfortable from the word go. Hill seemed never ending and by the time I reached the top after 4 miles my legs were already shot. Head was full of negative thoughts all the way round. Not a good experience and am now really doubting whether my body could cope with Loch Ness marathon. Frustrated at having trained consistently for the last 3 months and yet can't see any improvements coming through.
Not sure what now. Was planning to train quite hard over the next couple of weeks but maybe I need a break from running?
Wee jog round the woods with J late afternoon. Not feeling very bouncy so headed back leaving J to head out towards the fields and the meanest bird in Deeside. He met him:

Ran out to Pitmurchie road via tracks and then did 12 x 1' + 1' to the top of the hill (gentle angle). Feeling a bit lethargic but improved as it went on.
Running warm up/down 42:00 [3]
Out to start of intervals and back through the woods. Managed to avoid the buzzies.
Time for a short run round the woods when I got home. Got buzzed again by a different beast - just down the hill on the way to the waterfall. They'll be attacking us in our garden next ;-{
