Orienteering race 45:00 [4]

Green course at Bellwood. Feeling reasonable physically but a bit sloppy on bearings. Missed a few mins.

Running 2:25:00 [3]

Long run from Aboyne up the Fungle, over to Birse Castle, back across to Glen Cat, up to the ridge, then through terrain back to the S Deeside road. Felt dreadful at the start ( too early) but much better after 30mins or so. Amazing day - don't often see such a deep blue colour in the sky. Breeze kept it cool enough for running. Heard my first cuckoo of the year.

Note

Walk up Morven with J and E. Nice day but bitter easterly wind higher up. Met Ruth and Ian out running near the top then Dermid and boys on the way back down. Good walking from E.

Relaxed run round H'head in the sun. Legs feeling much bouncier - speedwork tomorrow.

Went round one of my circle courses to pick up controls and see what it was like. Good exercise - pretty tricky. Great night and decent turn out at training.

Glen Tanar 2 bridges. Recovering ok from Sunday buts legs still very tired. Steady plod.

Control hanging in Sluie for Wed training. No pretence at trying to run but had a very pleasant walk round.
