Running race 1:45:00 [5]

Spotted last night that they were taking EOD for the Petrofach Challenge. Woke up feeling reasonably bright so decided to go4it. Set off steady and managed to maintain quite a consistent pace. Hill was surprisingly good and actually passed a few people. Calfs started twingeing at ~9 miles so was a bit cautious - could feel them cramping whenever I tried to push a bit harder. Really pleased to have done it and happy with time.
Think it's time to commit to my late summer challenge....

Still feeling exhausted. Wanted to do some speedwork but still tired after warm-up so jogged out to far side of woods and did some short sprints.

10x30"+30" sprints.
Got buzzed by buzzy.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Jog up to the high point on the new cycle track from start of SGs training and then shadowing E round his course.

Orienteering 40:00 [2]

Line course on a corridor map in SGs. Tricky stuff. Lost the line a couple of times but managed to get myself back on course and did correctly spot all the controls out there. Not moving very fast.

Orienteering 30:00 [3]

Control collecting with a full map. Moved a bit quicker and nailed everything pretty well.

Running intervals 24:00 [5]

Almost didn't do this session - feeling knackered after 2 days back at work and a bit spaced out too - but once I got going the intervals went well. Better distance than recently and actually beat my starting point on the way back, slightly uphill and into the wind. So, really pleased. Almost starting to feel like a runner again.
