Orienteering race 1:16:00 [5]

Brown course at Crathes. Really enjoyed it. Ran hard and navigated well for most of it. Lost it for a bit in the middle (12, 15), when I started getting tired, but mostly flowing well.

Running 1:33:00 [3]

Carnferg with J. Up the Fungle to the junction with the big track, then straight to the top. Snow mostly gone from the Fungle except the open bits. Expected the last climb to be tough but there was lots of slabby snow that was mostly weight bearing, so not bad at all. Came back off the north side and headed cross-country to rejoin the Fungle just above the stream crossing. Weather cleared up nicely for us - great run and another DRC point.

Kingshill - warm-up run out to a flat bit of track. Short set of intervals and run back. Feeling raw - could have done with some gloves.

Orienteering race 1:00:00 [4]

DNC at Ballogie. Lovely runnable forest and great course - thanks Olsoran. Was orienteering really smoothly and spiked everything really well, except for no 6 ;-{ Have always had problems with this bit of the map - there's lots of little unmapped boulder fields. Attacked off the bottom mapped one several times, and found a b'field but no control. Eventually spotted it a good bit higher. The rest was brilliant though, and I was particularly chuffed to stay so straight runnng fast on a bearing down through the forest to the last control.
Groin was niggling jogging to the start, but didn't notice it once I got out in the forest.

Running 26:00 [3]

Hazlehead mostly on roads. Wanted to do some speedwork but R groin was niggly on warm-up, so didn't do too much. Felt good otherwise and enjoyed running without sliding or sinking.

10 x 30" + 30". Groin didn't feel any worse going faster, so providing no delayed adverse reaction, will continue to ignore.
