Travel to Tuscany

Running 35:00 [3]

From the house, down porcupine alley, N to the road, across and along the bottom track, back to the road and return by the middle track. Did some short reps along the bottom track to try and get the legs moving a bit quicker. Feeling much better than yesterday, despite the travelling. Tracks felt a bit hard though - need to find some softer surfaces to run on.

Running intervals 10:00 [5]

10 x 30" + 30" on flattish track

Stretching 15:00 [1]

Running 35:00 [3]

From the Botanic gardens across Inverleith park, Water of Leith to Dean Bridge, back round other side and along W of L past the colonnies. Felt really crap, everything seemed creaky and v sluggish.

Running 1:20:00 [3]

Ilkley Moor with Rebecca MW from her house. Took in 12 apostles, badger stone, whitewells and the cow and calf. Typical Yorkshire weather so no view, but drier than normal. R worked me hard - springing up the hills chattering away whilst I lumbered along wheezily behind. Great run and felt good afterwards. Tendon was niggling for a while in the middle, but seemed to settle down again.

Stretching 15:00 [1]

Running 35:00 [3]

Round Oxenhope from mum and dad's. Up past Happylands, down to Leeming, round the reservoir, L across the stream and up the fields to the church then back round the village and across the stream to dad's lower garden. Feeling ok for an early run - the hill seemed quite small.
