Orienteering race 1:18:00 [4]

SOL 1 at Auchingarroch. Really wasn't in the right frame of mind for this today and was half tempted not to bother, but needed to get a run in at some stage. It wasn't a good area not to be motivated, as the terrain did nothing to inspire. Plodded round mostly in the right direction with a few small mistakes, but certainly never felt like I was racing.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Half-hearted warm-up jog to start

Orienteering race 31:00 [5]

British age class sprint champs - Stirling Uni. 2 rounds. Finished first W40 in both, 6th W overall. A few small errors, but no major problems. Not the most interesting sprint races I've done with little route choice. Best bit was the first 4 controls of the first race (over in about 2 minutes!).

Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Before both races, and a bit of a jog after the first.

Running 50:00 [3]

Lunch time run with Jon from Shooting Greens. Headed down by tracks to the river at the W edge of the forest. Amazingly I've never been down there before. Ran E along the river back to near the quarry ponds following track or path almost all the way. Then back up by the big track. Great still to find new runs around here. Lovely day, but feeling very tired. A rest day needed tomorrow (and that includes gardening) otherwise I'll never survive the weekend.

Road cycling 45:00 [3]

Dug my road bike out of the shed and took it for a spin. Up to Aboyne, across the river, along to Potty, back across the river and home. Intended to have a gentle pooter, but had forgotten how nice it is to ride a good road bike fast, so worked pretty hard. Really enjoyable, just a shame it's such a faff getting the bike down to the road from the house.

Running (Hill run) 1:33:00 [4]

Taking a few days off work, so a chance to get another good run in. Enjoyed the Strathdon / Mona Gowan run from a couple of weeks ago so much that I went back to do the same again. Heading into the wind on the way up the hill and still a bit of snow on the track in places, so pleased to get to the top a minute or so quicker than last time. Cracking day - Lochnagar looked special.

Note

Several hours in the garden in the afternoon. Knackered now.

Running 44:00 [3]

From home. Cow shit loop, returning by Bullevard. Felt tired when I set off, but reasonably strong once I got going.

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Thought this was going to be difficult - upper body tired from gardening and shoulders really tight - but it wasn't too bad at all.
