Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Body not wanting to wake up properly.

Running race 32:00 [4] 6.0 km (5:20 / km) +100m 4:55 / km

Devil of Deeside part 3 - Run Balmoral duathlon. 1st run. Seemed to take ages to get going, but plodding steadily and ran the hill without any major difficulty.

Mountain biking race 53:00 [4] 16.0 km (3:19 / km) +210m 3:07 / km

Biking section round Ripe Hill loop.... didn't really enjoy this. Too many people coming past and hammering down scary descents! Happy to get feet back on terra firma.

Running race 26:00 [5] 5.0 km (5:12 / km) +100m 4:44 / km

Second run - same as the first without the initial flat loop. Feeling quite strong, still managed the hill ok, but tired by the end.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Everything still feeling ok, just tired.

Running race 2:10:00 [5] 24.0 km (5:25 / km) +300m 5:06 / km

Devil of Deeside part 4 - Run Balmoral 15 mile trail race.
This felt really hard for the first few miles, partly getting moving again, but also running out into a headwind. Then it got better for a while. Caught KH (and was a bit worried for her) but relieved when she skipped past me again heading up the hill. Came and went feeling good, then tired, but on balance couldn't have anticipated feeling anything like this good at the end of the Devil. Tried to run the last hill, which caused cramp in my quads to kick in (just as I met the race photographer and only 1.5 miles to go!), but once I got going again was able to catch back various people.
Dead chuffed with how the whole weekend went, especially after all the niggles during the week. They didn't cause any problems at all, but there's lots of other sore bits now.
3rd overall F Devil
