Historic orienteering on maps from the 60s, 70s & 80s for AIRE’s 50th anniversary, complete with stamps and pin punches, master maps, washing line results & a whole heap of nostalgia :-)
The 60s consisted of wandering around a black and white map with zero features on it until I saw a giant flag hanging in a tree. The 70s had white as open and yellow as woods and no undergrowth shown aaah. Finally managed to find some controls in the 80s haha.

Modern orienteering. Legs felt like death so it ended up being a bit of a plod / power walk. Bit of a lacklustre effort but it was nice to be out all the same. Found some lovely paths for future runs.

NLFR hill reps - 14 max effort hill reps (all different lengths and gradients) with very easy jogging in between. Bit of a shock to the body!

Nice easier run, feeling much perkier. I've had the worst few weeks ever but hopefully all my bad luck is done now & life will start to sort itself out again! Don't know how I would've coped if I was still injured on top of everything else.
