Had a really good race but punched the men’s number 16 (along with 6 other girls) which was down the same alleyway as ours. Urgh. Not the best end to an otherwise great season.

Mixed Sprint Relay - right up at the front through the first section in the park, abso loving life! Then it got a bit more foresty/hilly & I steadily dropped time/positions where the other girls were simply stronger on the hills & in the terrain. This was very out of my comfort zone so I’m actually pretty happy with my time. It would have been nicer to have been fighting a little bit higher up, but in this area that was the best I could do. Happy my shorts survived ;)

Didn’t like the controls on crags but qualified much higher than I expected considering how poo I felt!

QF - definitely made the wrong runners choice! I didn’t have a clue and had only looked at 2 of the options in the allotted 20secs lol. Came out of the choice section 10sec down in 5th which was already game over. Dropped the Finn & Russian & gained a few seconds on the 3 Swedes but it was dead running all the way to the finish with zero route choice and I realised pretty soon that I couldn’t close the gap.
Legs also not in the game anymore. I think a few months ago I could have got myself back into the race but I’m not in that shape right now.
I think knockout sprint could be really fun but they need to use better areas. An open park didn’t allow for any change in the running order / any different routes to be taken. Euromeeting was much better terrain.
