Euromeeting sprint - 4th!
Area suited me well & I really enjoyed myself. A little bit disappointed that I did two small mistakes near the end, would’ve been very close to 3rd, but I was so so tired & my brain didn’t cope with that at all.
Super keen for 2 years time already!!

Knockout sprint quali - KM: “sprints don’t have reentrants!” Scrappy nav, & felt stressed by all the hedges & slippy grass, missed lots of the shortest routes. Just about through to the QFs. Hopefully this afternoon will be nicer!

Quarter Final -1st
Should have been more decisive and taken the better route at the start but I wanted to plan the last few legs so I tucked in to the pack and basically just followed whilst making all my decisions for the last loop. In the end my tactic worked as I cranked up a gear, went a different way and popped out in the lead, but it also meant I missed all the opportunities earlier on where we definitely went sub optimal routes as a pack.
The mad sprint over the last few controls was very fun but in general everyone put their maps away and followed and I don’t think that was enjoyable as it was essentially just a running race.

Warm up in a barn. Weirdest quarantine ever. Quite stressful as they didn’t put out any start lists until 5mins before the first SF.

Semi final - 3rd (1s from making the final, aah!)
Absolute carnage, it was so fast, how do they even navigate at that pace!! Worked my way back towards the Fins and was painfully close to qualifying after a good overtaking route at the end but I just left myself with too much to do at the end and ran out of road. As soon as I’d lost contact on the way to 2/3 that was already game over tbh. It only felt good when I was doing my own routes at the end, but I absolutely couldn’t read my map for the first half and keep them in sight, mad pace.
Must learn to be more aggressive and do many many track sessions if I ever want to do this mad thing at WOC! V cool area though.

Euromeeting - 1st leg of the mixed sprint relay. Absolutely loved it, was having so much fun out the front hehe!
Then it got aggressive with the shoving and Maija & Lina went into super speed in the last 500m.
Really really happy with my orienteering though :) took my own routes & planned ahead, yas!

15min tempo, 5x30sec - legs felt terrible! Probably a combo of touristing, cobbles, pre run cake, & severe lack of speed work recently. Hopefully this will wake them up!
