massively chesty cough going on :( had swollen glands since wednesday so not altogether surprised. annoying that it's just been a rubbish week of training already though :( tucked up in bed all day & feeling better for it, so fingers crossed I can get back to normal soon!

Nationals. Never seen so much mud in all my life! Sliding everywhere in trail shoes. Was a really cool experience, I just wish I wasn't so average haha. Also felt awful the whole way round - not sure if that's just because I was trying so hard or if I really was having an off day. Felt disproportionately hard work either way! A bit disappointed but I'll get stronger and hopefully come back and actually enjoy this next year.

sports massage - yulia's happy I listened to her haha & says I'm fine to race this weekend. whoop whoop. although she banned me from going jogging this evening & said it's better to wait until the day after a massage to train again. good chance to sort out the rest of my life instead!
very very little pain anymore :) yay! This spin was also super super hard work. I miss running though!! Not the best prep ahead of Saturday but oooh well
Frustrating not to be able to do the sessions I want, but I don't think it's the worst thing in the world to miss a few runs this week if it means I'm in one piece & good to go by the weekend.
foot doing much better after a horrendously painful massage - the muscles are super contracted and won't relax for some reason & that's inflamed the tendon a wee bit. got an awesome mini foam roller for my foot which hurts like hell but is really effective. should all ease up again soon.
