Southern Champs - 2nd? (although there was a missing control for early starters so should probably be 3rd).
Went quite well - a 2min mistake at number 8 & I lost some time stuck in the grot going to 4. Also a few bits where I needed to be more assertive & not fanny around over-reading the map.
Ended up with Ruth on the way to 13, was a bit stupid to 14, & then I got quite tired. Really tried to do my own map reading on the last loop but inevitably it did help to have someone to push me to race.
Pretty pleased though - plenty of positives, just need to iron out some things & then man up :-)

Velmead - really really taking it back to basics & working on processes today (attack points, direction etc...) went really well, just misread a gully as a contour at 4! love orienteering at an easy pace - let's see if it all falls apart tomorrow ;-)
