Orienteering 1:12:33 [3] 6.2 km (11:42 / km) +260m 9:40 / km
shoes: X Talon 212

Etappe 6 - Sunnegga

Urrggh - 15min control!! Started well in the technical part, but then couldn't find a pretty simple control, tried to follow Simone but that failed! At least there were about 20 people also lost, so i think it was both hard & weirdly mapped for us all to be confused.
On the plus my leg has survived the week :-) So happy to be able to exercise again!! Will have some more time off of it & then hopefully start the long road back to fitness soon. Yay! This week totally brought back my love of o'ing just for fun - sometimes it's very nice not to be competing & just doing it for the enjoyment.

Etappe 5 - Trockener Steg

Well this was hard! Really fun start, but then it just got insanely physical running up scree slopes, boulder fields and across loads of snow. It was also the highest day so no surprise that i was dying. Quite distracting running past the base of the matterhorn too!

Etappe 4 - Gruensee

Supposed "middle distance" that was definitely just the same as every other day!! Best result so far though, getting faster as my body remembers how awesome a feeling it is to run :) Started 7mins before the elite men mass start which was pretty awesome when hubbers et al came flying past on the course.

Etappe 3 - Gornergrat

So the leg is totally loving life at altitude (so confused how 3 months of pain can suddenly go to about 10% of what it was?!).
Had another good run today, just not so fit after the time out so a bit further down the results than usual. Loved the section that was a control pick all the way down the valley with so many people everywhere :) Also really pleased my o skills seem to have returned after day 1's mishap! Spiking controls is the best feeling ever. Had a small section running over snow today haha amaze.

Etappe 2 - Stafelalp

wow wow wow :-) so much fun!
I have no idea why, but i had very little leg pain today so it was amazing to be able to jog along very happily (even if being at 2600m above sea level made me pretty altitude sick!!). Got all the controls pretty spot on, & even got to run on the area previously covered by the Zmutt glacier :) mega cool stuff.
