Thames Valley Cross Country - Hawley Hill, Sandhurst
Absolutely loved it! Proper cross-country, hills & mud, non of this running round a field rubbish.
Started a bit fast I think as I really felt like I was slowing down in the last few km's. Lots of cheering and support and beautiful forest made it really enjoyable though. The overriding message being to beat the Sandhurst ladies at all costs haha. Some serious rivalry there.
It really hurt, but I need to realise that is how it's supposed to feel when you're doing your best. Hopefully if I can do as much of this as possible then I might: 1). Get a bit faster 2). Not wimp out and walk when I'm orienteering. Got to remember this feeling that you can keep going, even when it feels like you can't do another step.
Think I managed to be one of the counters for Reading Roadrunners though, and beat my target of 40mins, so nothing to complain about (yay!) :-)
