Orienteering 1:02:00 [2] 8.8 km (7:03 / km) +240m 6:12 / km

Since I didn't go to the JK this year and am now living right next to the areas, it seems silly to waste some good courses. Went to Cold Ash and ran about 2/3 of the women's elite course. Loved it, such nice forest.
Was hard without kites to be confident I was on the exact feature, but that meant more discipline was needed. Practiced planning ahead, compass work, contour visualisation - really going back to basics and reminding myself how to orienteer in terrain.
Also my ankle was totally fine with this kind of terrain, so a good step forward :-)

Lots of fun (apart from the really boring long leg). Planned ahead pretty well. Small errors on 16 and 23 from not reading the descriptions properly. Also need to thumb the map more as I kept forgetting where I was in the complex bit from 20-26. Quite surprised to have beaten Sophie and Anne though, as I didn't think I was fit enough yet. Good motivation to keep the training going.

5 x 1200m - with 1min active recovery between each one
Averaged around 5mins a rep - not aiming to kill myself at this time of year!

Running intervals 2:00 [5] 0.8 km (2:30 / km)

Halloween relay - 3 people in a team, each person runs 4 x 200m. Love some competition :)
We were disqualified for decapitating our skeleton baton though.
