Orienteering race 1:29:00 [4] 10.79 km (8:15 / km) +300m 7:14 / km

Castle Carr. Made some small (1 minute) errors at controls 1, 10 & 13. The rest was just too slow through the wet tussocks. Could have done with finishing at the "spectator control" and got a bit miserable and cold on the last steep and muddy section. Definitely need to take some gels or something for these longer races or I just lose motivation.
It's nice that they make an effort for the elites but it did seem a bit silly to have race numbers and the such when there were 4 people on the women's elite. Finished an embarrassing 17 minutes behind Claire Ward! :)

Orienteering race 45:26 [4] 8.91 km (5:06 / km) +140m 4:44 / km

Halifax Urban Race. All was technically fine, just a bit out of puff on some of the hills - especially 20 and 21. Think I took mostly the right route choices. Was 1 minute clear on women's open, but about 5 minutes behind the men.

Running 42:00 [2] 8.44 km (4:59 / km) +60m 4:48 / km

3/4 lycra was such a bad plan - absolutely boiling day!
Needed to get away from my presentation for a while. If anyone has any interesting views on the future of the non profit sector then I would love to know them!
Looking forward to some actual orienteering this weekend :)
