Orienteering race 37:04 [4] 5.2 km (7:08 / km) +175m 6:06 / km

BUCS relay - lost 3 minutes on the gaffle at number 2, and could never get back with the pack after that. Need to work on not getting carried away racing and focusing on map contact.

Orienteering race 1:10:00 [4] 8.8 km (7:57 / km) +220m 7:04 / km

Massively screwed up number 5 and number 12. Got too focused on running rather than map contact. Must have lost close to 8 minutes which is pretty frustrating. The rest mostly went well though. A few wobbles, but I had good attack points and visualisation - so I have to be pleased that the basics are occurring. Really it's just a case of terrain fitness for all that heather.

Still I wanted to get out and keep my legs moving, even just for a little jog.

Wanted to go out in the light rather than wait until intervals.
Up Blackford for a nice easy run to loosen off, with drills down in the hermitage.
