Northern Night Champs,
Really hard to see with the snow and wind. Needed much more disciplined compass work when the features were snowed under - lost a good 5mins at number 2 wandering around. The rest of the course was okay. Some small wobbles, all directional. Somehow won anyway, must use compass far more.

Focused on planning ahead - trying to know which direction to leave control & choosing the next long route on the previous one. Mostly worked, obviously helped knowing the area. Shin a bit sore at the end from the hard surface.

Out to balerno along the water of leith. So much fun, not done that route in ages. Cold and muddy :)

Running intervals 28:00 [4] 5.9 km (4:45 / km) +60m 4:31 / km

Interval session in a big group. Finding controls, where whoever was leading chose the route (surprisingly always the boys...), but you could cut sections to try stay with the pack by predicting where they'd go. Fairly interesting and good to get off the paths although I couldn't see the map. Just turned into follow the leader!
2*6mins & 3*3mins with 90sec jogging between each rep.

Jog to intervals & 15mins of drills w/u, jogging round meadows and home again w/d

Yuss, first morning I have not woken up and felt like death. To the gym! Training is back on :)
