Orienteering 42:00 [3] 5.0 km (8:24 / km) +250m 6:43 / km

Arthurs seat mass start race. Wasn't feeling keen for this, very very tired so just took it steadily. Bashed shin and stopped at no.12, no point making it worse when I wasn't enjoying it. Need to learn to love open, hilly, tussocky terrain, such a mental block to it.

Edinburgh City Race!
Loved it, just my kind of thing, lots of little tricky urban legs and not too much dead running.
No shin pain :) Warmed it up well, think taking 2 days off running did wonders. Happy with my time, pretty much what I was hoping for position wise (about 1min behind Jo & Florence, just ahead of Kirstin & Rona). Glad to know I'm not too slow!
Good: Planning ahead (until I got tired), reading the control descriptions to avoid being caught out
Improve: A bit hesitant in places, so more confidence in knowing which direction to leave the control to improve flow & not loose those vital seconds. Manning up enough to actually run up steps!
