RR event at Lanton - much better! Really maintained focus on planning every leg and executing it well rather than running beyond my navigation. Got some pretty horrendeous blisters about 2/3 the way round but great until then. Can't even put into words how amazing it is to be able to orienteer without bad shin pain. Got about 6 weeks now to really get myself sorted out & mentally prepared to race.

Scottish Night Champs - was absolutely loving it & felt like I was beasting along, then focused too much on enjoying it & not on reading my map & absolutely screwed up No.16. Well annoyed as it ruined how much I loved this event. Need to stay focused right to the end as this was my issue last year. On a big positive I seem to have cracked actually using my compass and not just carrying it around! :)
Pretty tough one this morning but still loved it, lots of glutes & abs & falling off rollers & snapping therabands. Felt good to push myself a bit more & forget about my stressful day ahead.
