Note

Awww man, my ankle is still poo. Damaged a ligament in it so it's taking quite a while to settle an I am rubbish at staying off it. Been trying to do some core and stability things in the mean time but I am desperate to get going again - so fired up for a good winters training now!!

Soooo bored bit my ankle STILL hurts - totes should not have run the last 2 days of the Scottish. Anyways the swimming pool in town has burned down and cycling aggravates it, but i am mega mega desperate to exercise. It is getting better but too slowly for my liking... booo! :-(

Fairly easy but my ankle is not so happy with me now - still looking like I have a massive fatty cankle. A few more days before I dare to run on it again.

Day 6 - Coulmony and Belivat

Thought I was going to hate it when the first few controls were entirely in marsh, but I actually ended up really enjoying the race. Made a couple of silly mistakes due to being massively knackered, but ended the week in 10th (4th British) which I am mega pleased about :) Even managed to sneak ahead of some GB girls again.

Now to let my giant ankle return to a vaguely normal size!

Day 5 - Roseisle

Enjoyed today sooooo much more! Just feeling knackered and made some stupid mistakes near the end of the course - no idea how I will make it round tomorrow!! I think 3 solid weeks of orienteering may finally have caught up with me ;)
The ankle wasn't so bad, just a bit twingey and achy sometimes - but wrecked my knee again today. I am such a disaster.

Day 4 - Loch of Boath

Omg I hated this area. Had such a bad attitude the whole way round but having to wake up the controls and be the first into the bracken is not fun. Walked quite a lot of it which is really bad but my legs would just not go. Was just generally too tough underfoot and too easy technically for me - need to work on my terrain fitness big style.
Also knackered my ankle pretty badly, so not sure how that will hold out these last two days.
