Pre running the chase prologue. Aside from walking up like every hill I was pleased I looked up and had good visualisation of the controls. Enjoyed it much more than I expected.

Edinburgh City Race - Pre running to wake up the controls. Took a few dodgy route choices and started dying nearish the end on the hills. Think I started a bit fast, but on the whole I planned ahead quite well and always knew my description.

Trying to go on a health kick motivation with Kong. He's cutting back smoking, I'm doing more running and we're both getting our 5 a day. Let's see how long that lasts!

Been on a walking jolly with papa leakie these past few days. Who knew walking was so exhausting! Back to it now with an easy one. Going to try and work on my training consistency rather than worry too much about what distances covered.

Note

Found that having the goal of the chevin chase really helped motivate me over the last few months. For my next goal I'm going to focus on having a good british night champs (80% clean into the controls and happy with my race) and not embarrassing myself too much at BUCS. Then I'll probably focus more on some 5 and 10km races as I can't do the JK or British Champs this year.

Note

Had friends staying last week over hogmanay. Walked around 10 miles a day so still been active, but giving my shin some recovery time from running.
