Sooo had some blood tests and it turns out I have glandular fever :( The joy. Explains why i felt rubbish all weekend. Will I ever have a season where I am not injured or sick? Banned from contact sport, alcohol and extensive exercise. 21st birthday and Jk basically ruined. Rubbish.

Strensall Common. Not feeling the greatest I have ever felt. Had 3mins of errors, missed number 1, somehow fell in a ditch up to my waist in water... mega embarrassing. Just not fit enough yet, but now I really want to be. Sparked off a new alice who enjoys orienteering again :) Loving the sunshine as well!

Women Open Heat C

Love Sprint :) Totally not fit enough on 2 months training after taking a 9 month break, but this weekend has for sure got my love of O back & I am so motivated to train for next year now.
Somehow qualified for the A final.

Ooops, just looked at the splits and think I may have started slightly too fast... Totally started to die by number 8 and then mahoosive mistake at 11 and sort of mentally gave up when I saw Zoe.
A bit annoyed I didn't do better, but I had fun which was all that was important to me this weekend.

Did a pilates session in the gym before physio. Nice and relaxing.
Apparently I have improved in my ITB and shins, but my back is still bad/fused/incredibly tight. Nae good.

3*1km - 3.40, 3.43, 3.44.
20seconds faster than I was running in February so at least I am improving, even if it's a slow progression!!
5*200m - not sure times

Orienteering race 34:55 [5] 4.0 km (8:44 / km) +130m 7:31 / km

Loved it, so much fun. Really good mix of crazy fast field running and technical woods. Still felt poo on the hills but on the whole much more enjoyable than yesterday.
Started really strong, had a small 20sec wobble on 6. Way too far left on 9 and got really confused, did a circle of the control before finally locating it, lost 1min and the lead pack. Got better again but had a bit of a faff on 13 & 14 where I started to doubt myself for some reason. On the whole I'm happy but lost 4mins in little errors, need to tidy up this scrappiness.
Luckily Rona had a storming run and we finished 3rd :)

Wasn't feeling great at the start, really clammy & warm - not sure i am actually over this illness. Technically I was fine & it was so easy so I didn't enjoy it, and definitely didn't run hard enough because of that. Felt like I couldn't breath on the hills, not sure if I just wimped out of pushing or really wasn't fit enough to. Just not in the right frame of mind to do well.
