Hill reps up the track at Temple Newsam. Good hill, starts gentle & gets progressively steeper. Not my fav session but good to get my HR up.

Orienteering 27:02 [3] 2.6 km (10:24 / km)

New EBOR area Clifton Backies, such great sprint terrain. Really tricky little wooded area with war bunkers.
Number 8 was in the wrong place so lost around 2mins being stubborn that I was right. It was in an unmapped gully further on. MP'd anyway, as they mentioned something about number 3 not being there, so I just touched the feature & carried on. Apparently there was a punch though? Really confused.
Definitely need to plan ahead & keep better concentration on what direction I am going in, lots of 90degree errors going on!

Orienteering 23:18 [3] 2.7 km (8:38 / km)

Did another course, was much easier second time around. Didn't punch the one I thought wasn't there, again, oops! Oh well, lesson learnt to clarify these things! Blister wasn't happy.

Got a massive blister & all the skin has come off my heel, really painful to even put shoes on :(
Don't think I will be running for a few days.

Went and ran an old orienteering course from 2002. Map had changed quite a lot so it was a bit tricky. Felt good.

Went on a 10mile walk today. Can't really count it as training but fell asleep straight afterwards. Worn out!

Went to Temple Newsam with mother for some terrain running. Was muchas fun.
Tried to incorporate some hill intervals by pushing hard up everyone I came to and then jogging the flat bits. Worked nicely and felt good and tired at the end when the hail storm came!

Still feeling energetic so went on a 90min hike in the woods. Enjoyed baking all the more after this :)

Shins a bit achy, suppose it's the road running, so cycled out on a pretty route.
Unfortunately forgot my bike lock so had to carry my bike over numerous stiles, gates, through long grassy fields and up a very muddy steep hill on my geocaching adventure at the far end. My arms ache!

Back from Africa. Great week of swimming, walking, sunshine, spa days & lovely healthy foods.
After the last few months being pretty rubbish I feel totally refreshed to get back to a productive life.
Couldn't resist getting out for a spin
