World Cup Sprint - Lysekil
Positives - achieved all my race goals. Didn't get nervous at all, was really really excited & positive, mixing with the other GB girls in the results, no disasters!! Also started well & took a good route on the long leg. Good position at the first radio control.
Negatives - didn't handle the arena passage very well, got a bit freaked out & made a panic decision to 8 after I saw some other runners heading right. Should have stuck with my first choice left. Had to go back & re-punch 9 & the last control losing time. Also not convinced by my route over the hill to 12.
Next time I need to find a better balance between accuracy & speed. Was much too hesitant today making sure there were no dead ends/checking descriptions etc. rather than being aggressive & getting on with it!! Never found my fast brain, but I guess that comes with practice & confidence in your own ability the more you do at this level. Genuinely had the best time though!! Loved the whole atmosphere of the day & my lovely team mates who made everything so much fun :) :)
