swimming 32:00 [3] 1.0 km (32:00 / km)

Would have done this yesterday morning but I was waiting for the plumber.
1 PM

running (Blackwood Forest) 46:00 [3]
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon bluegreen

Terrain laps of the forest, which I quite enjoyed apart from the fact that it always takes about 20 min for my arches to stop hurting when running in O shoes. A blustery day but no trees fell on me, and the creek was even flowing after this morning's rain (Adelaide only recorded 14mm in the first quarter of the year, so there's some catching up to do...).

running (Belair night) 49:55 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano 23

So tired at work today that I didn't feel like running - but did want to catch up with Zara, and actually going up the park boundary (past another controlled burn site) and back down Valley Rd was ok. Afterwards I got to see all her Tas O maps while Bear licked at my salty sweaty legs.

riding 30:00 [3]

Too smoky & dusty for a run this evening so I decided to ride to/from nationals meeting on a warm windy night.

running 32:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano 23

Weir loop with the junior group. Seemed hot & humid, +/- I've lost a bit of fitness over the past 3 weeks. Even if I start a 3-month bootcamp now, I still don't think I'll be able to run within half an hour of Simone Niggli in the WMOC long final :(

running (Shepherds Hill) 40:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano 23

Sheps saunter on sunset; staggered up a couple of short steep hills. Got thirsty pretty quickly 'cos apparently it's still summer (wish I could remember what was special about April 9th, 2005, that made it 0.3 degrees warmer than today). Also darkness falls early these days; we'll need a headlamp for Belair on Thurs.

running (Belair) 34:30 [3]
shoes: Asics 2000-4

Got out for some 'fresh' air after a looong day in the dispensary (damn this one-weekend-a-month rostering). Smoky smells from last week's controlled burns made me think of campfires and camping, which we will be doing in 2 weeks' time. Any suggestions for good campsites - and O maps - between Perth and Esperance?
