running 53:50 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Blair and I ran around the Oyster Walk which goes around the foreshore in Coffin Bay and up the hill to a lookout. . Nice morning, company and scenery, but I don't think there are too many alternative places to run the next time I'm in Coffin Bay!

Daytripped to Memory Cove in Lincoln National Park which was meant to be a test of the new ute's 4WD capabilities, but although the track wasn't rough enough to warrant 4WD it turned out to be a test of Julie's ability to sit with a recently-dislocated hip for long periods. I had promised G some sand dune driving opportunities but I turned out to be too chicken as a passenger :(

Around/up & down Whyalla, to 3 different lookouts, from the foreshore motel which does a good continental breakfast. George & Julie & I also stopped for a mangrove boardwalk at Arno Bay, picked up Blair when he flew in to Pt Lincoln, and ended up having fish & chips by the waterfront at sunset on what was a surprisingly mild June evening. (Probably about like June in Sweden?)

Attack of the Killer Physio
Perhaps sitting in the car afterwards to drive to Whyalla wasn't the best of ideas. Starting to rethink the massage scheduled for June 20th on the morning of flying to Europe.

running (Shepherds Hill) 50:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Only had time for the shortest loop but my legs were somewhat tired from last night anyway. Somehow don't think I'm going to get down to 45 min for this loop before WMOC this year...because I am leaving for Europe in not much more than 2 weeks :)

BTW, I see now what Meredith meant - a number of new MTB trails being constructed in the park and a total reconstruction of the 'basin' near the entrance.

running 46:00 [3] 8.8 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2000

4 laps of the uni loop on a crisp evening, including 12 x 200m with 200m float. Didn't feel too bad but little Max was coming up fast behind me.

orienteering race (Tower Hill) 1:20:32 [3] 8.1 km (9:57 / km) +305m 8:22 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc spikes

Mt Crawford forest, basically. A nice course even if it did go around in circles a bit. Sometimes I switched off a little on bearings or didn't pay attention to what the control would be on but the run was basically ok except that by the end my legs & I were really really tired. Hopefully I'll feel more sprightly next weekend.
