swimming 35:00 [3] 1.0 km (35:00 / km)

Horrible cramp in my calf manifested about 5:30am and didn't completely respond to stretching and massaging so I thought a swim might help.

riding (to/from pool) 30:00 [2]

Probably should have pumped my tyres up first. And oiled my knees.
7 PM

orienteering race (Gateway Park Sprint) 25:31 [3] 3.3 km (7:44 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Apparently I can't run any more. And most of this course was about running. Probably didn't help that I took the wider route choice on at least 3 different occasions.

orienteering race (Magill SSS) 23:19 [4] 2.9 km (8:02 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Magill campus is a small area even at 1: 2500, but Liv & Mel had done well with a map change (turnover). Once I'd done explaining this to people I went for a trot around the long course. Some good route choice legs and I am definitely able to run a little harder than a couple of weeks ago so now I'm only about 25% slower than Sabine was tonight!

Edit: more like 30% slower...in real time I was further behind Sabine than Robin was behind me.

running (Belair ) 31:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Had to cut a nice social run short because of online OA board meeting :(
But actually I was feeling a bit overcooked because dad's kindly lent me the ancient parentmobile (while my car's getting fixed post-skippy) and it has no airconditioning. So when I got home I shared an iceblock with the dog in order to reduce my core temperature and I didn't offer any virtual iceblocks to the rest of the Board.

running intervals (Moneghetti fartlek) 20:00 [4]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Hmm. Legs wouldn't lift at all and I was even tripping over cracks in the pavement. So this was a slow-lek.

swimming 35:00 [3] 1.0 km (35:00 / km)

Nicely-cool morning and nearly-empty lane. (Sometimes I think I'm marginally faster when I have people to draft though.)

running (Monday night) 35:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Weary legs went for a trot around Hawthorndene with B&S, Tyson/Paddy no Fern :( Sabine & Rolf and TCA. Troy's party trick is to push Clara's pram away from him as hard as he can, then run to catch up!

running (Bridgewater) 1:23:33 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Big turnout this morning, guest starring Sabine Hauswirth. Through Mt George and up to Carey Gully Rd I really struggled, feeling just as dizzy & unco as yesterday and unable to keep up with Fern on the hills despite it being nice & cool, but after sampling John's strategically-placed water stash I felt ok and so did the Carey Gully extension and kept up a reasonable pace down Gully Rd chatting with Z and back through the golf course.

Big group stayed on for brunch (I'd definitely go back to Providore in Aldgate) and then Andrew Mogridge & I went across to Woodhouse to check control sites for the sprint champs. Had expected to be home by lunchtime but in fact it was 4pm when we left there. The scout camp is looking a little rundown and the courses need some slight rejigging because of a couple of closed bridges.
