riding (Brownhill Creek) 1:01:00 [3] 19.5 km (3:08 / km)

This one's for Toph: as I rounded a bend in the road at the far end of the valley, there stood a deer in front of me! It wasn't very large but its antlers were wide. At that point the road is about one lane max with a drop to the creek on one side and an embankment on the other. Turns out deer can go straight up the bank without any difficulty...

Attack of the Killer Physio
'nuf said. This morning I actually asked George to rub my back when he got up, as it's just been so achey lately. Really tight shoulders too.

running (Belair night) 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2160

From Long Gully I convinced Zara to come with me to the redwoods then we went up & over the hill and around the southern park boundary. Nice night for a chat, legs felt better than expected (Deep Heat hadn't worn off yet?) and this didn't really take very long.

3-Hills loop. Struggled on the uphills and was fairly tentative on the slippery descents after rain. Will need to think about shoes with good grip for S2S. Tight hip flexors and also generally very tired this week.

Poor Tyson. If I hadn't turned up he could have snuggled on the couch with Fern. As it was, we went for a run in the rain (the creeks were flowing already) and discussed results management software. By the time I had dried off and changed afterwards, I was already going to be late for Easter 2015 meeting, so I got Fern to show me the nursery :)

orienteering race (Kuitpo ) 1:02:42 [3] 6.8 km (9:13 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

Good day for a pleasant trot around the forest. I wasn't really feeling up to 9km so did the next one down - and at least I beat all the older men. The course wasn't rocket science, but more fun than terrain running and the control sites included a boulder I hadn't known about.
