running ('splorin') 1:36:16 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2160

When it stopped raining I went out. Didn't even bother trying to keep my feet dry in Shepherds Hill; the first creek crossing was knee deep and flowing fast and I knew there were at least 2 more. The 4th one looked too hairy so rather than taking that singletrack I ended up scrambling up the hill straight above the train tunnel. It was foggy when I got to Gloucester and then began to pour so I took the steps down from Mead St very carefully, admiring some impromptu waterfalls I hadn't seen before below the quarry. The daylight lasted longer than I expected though, so I took quite a few MTB singletracks figuring that no bikes would be on them at this time of this day, and then explored the streets below the train line quite a bit to remind myself which streets branching off which spur actually cross over which gully.

Trotted over to Mortlock Park and did 3 laps of 1 side fast, 1 side slow, then home again in time to stick self under shower and get to Nth Adelaide for a 6:30pm dinner meeting. Legs still hammered from Tues - reckon I need new shoes but there's still an awful lot of winter left to get them muddy during.

running 1:20:01 [3] 14.2 km (5:38 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2160

Shepherds Hill-Eden Hills-Bellevue Heights-Flinders Uni loop. About 3 min slower up the hill than I sometimes am, but my legs were pretty buggered from last night. Tried hard on the way home but slowed down on any little incline - 11:30 back from the park.

running intervals 14:22 [5] 3.6 km (3:59 / km)
shoes: Saucony Jazz

5 x 600m, with 200m recovery in between. Started out a bit too fast chasing Bridget/Liv. Got sick of waiting around between intervals after the first recovery so kept going by myself after that. Decided to do 3x200m (with 200m float) at the end after I had recovered from the final 600!

Knees didn't hurt at all. Weird.

running (Monday night) 38:09 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2160

Hawthorndene run, partly along Minno Creek, with F&T, B&S. Then I skedaddled to Easter 2015 meeting for which I was only 10 min late. But I haven't been late for work for a whole week now! (I also haven't once looked at AP while at work. They do say you should begin as you mean to go on...)

running long 1:36:48 [3]

Spent all afternoon yesterday at/helping with a 4th birthday party and the evening at a 50th, so came home 11pmish. Still figured I should be able to fit in a decent run before WA breakfast. It was almost too warm when I started out but then the rain set in over Mitcham/Brownhill Creek way and I was anxious that the singletracks behind Waite might be slippery. They were okay, although the long gradual descent from Waite to Fullarton Rd wasn't brilliant for my knees. Rain had stopped by the time I got home.
