running (Shepherds Hill) 1:08:31 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano 18

The evening seemed pretty warm after what was a pretty nice day weather-wise, also pretty full-on at work. So I was pretty tired going up the hill, but the view out over the city lights coming back down was just pretty :)

running (Belair night) 53:51 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2160

B&S turned back at the train line and the rest of us went up the hill. We came down Jubilee Drive rather than the steps because of slipperiness; even so, Tyson tried to turn himself into a toboggan.

YayGeoffrey'shome! I think I was even more pleased to see him than the dog was. Turns out there were a couple of minor hitches such as the demise of the battery which powers the UHF radio and the crane, and the rangers not meeting him in the expected place at the expected time - but he did get to overnight at Mt Dare hotel.

Also, I entered Two Bays on Monday and the t-shirt I ordered turned up in the post today already. Now it doesn't matter if I don't run, because I've got the t-shirt (even if I chose the wrong size).

running 33:48 [3] 6.6 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Saucony Jazz

3 laps of the uni loop at a brisk pace with Fern, who is a good listener. Feeling somewhat less of a loser than I did last night. For future reference, a loser is someone who:
a) receives a devastating performance review (not entirely unjustified as I have been struggling with work, but it was delivered pretty harshly)
b) has no idea where her husband is (I still don't, as he's out of range)
c) has a dog as her best friend (and is late for work because of walking him)
d) buys petrol at $1:64 then passes 6 other servos where it's still $1:45
I think that about covers it for now...

A bit too long...up Randells (the fat white French bulldogs were out, in their matching little coats, although their fat rolls should have been more than adequate to keep them warm without coats), along Sheoak, down Pony Ridge, back along Brownhill Creek. The ford at Tilleys Hill Rd is closed although presumably locals who live up that road can still cross it and the stepping stones were well & truly under water - I waded across, shin-deep, which was the most fun part of the whole run. Died in the legs from about Mitcham onwards, partly because it was on pavement, and although I kept trying to dig deep as I do towards the end of a run with Blair or Zara, I had nothing left. Also rather tired because when Geoff got up at 3am, I did too - although I then went back to bed and he left for Dalhousie Springs to deliver some signs to the Simpson Desert national park. I may or may not see him again Tues/Wed.
