Never a fan of Mack Creek but it was a nice sunny day and I tried to go direct rather than using the track options; managed without too much yacka-bashing. Lost a minute on 12 where the patch of prickly acacia extended further than mapped. Otherwise was pretty slow through the bush and this little piggy won't exactly be up to optimum speed by Darwin, although I managed the couple of big hills at the end okay.
Afterwards spent 3 hours walking around taping club relay control sites at Rocky Paddock (also found a few tapes left behind from yesterday's women's coaching day - I'm a bit annoyed that they used the same area). Lots of people having campfires among the rocks; I think the best way to ensure that we can have the campsite I want to use as the graveyard is to camp on it the night before!
And in other news, due to my procurement of a laptop, I have finally entered the 21st century :) We also bought a new washing machine this weekend. The old one, bought for $100 at a garage sale 10 years ago, has been leaking - but it took me a while to realise this and so I had been telling the dog off for peeing in the laundry.
