The run I didn't do last night. Weirdly, this was at least as fast as I've ever done this loop. Not going to Belair tonight because I've talked Fern & Tyson into coming with me to see Paul Kelly in concert. It's fair to say, I'm excited :)

The pool seems different in the evening, more summery. Maybe it's the light. I got water in my ears and worried that I would be deaf for the concert but I should have realised I'd be deaf afterwards anyway.

A damn good concert!
It's a while since I've been to a show and so I was a bit over-enthusiastic about getting there early (when I could have done my packing - oops), given that the main act didn't come on till 10.30pm. Fern & Tyson humoured me even though they weren't aiming for a spot 3 rows back from the stage like I was. HQ nightclub is an interesting venue for PK to play but I guess he's too big for the Gov, too small for the Thebby. The support act, some guy called Vorn Doolette (presumably not his real name) & his band were a bit unusual, but at least a better fit with PK than, to pick an odd pairing at random, Kanye West and U2.
Paul was in a good mood, very energetic, and the crowd behaved pretty well (Adelaide yobs have an short attention span and he can't play more than one slow song in a row or they get restless. I've seen him crack the shits when the crowd was talking through a show at the Gov.) The only thing which can make a Paul Kelly show even better is the presence of at least one of the Bull sisters and it was an absolute treat to have Vika Bull on stage.
This is at least the 8th PK concert I've been to, and it was one of the best. Also, Tyson is no longer a PK virgin :)
Note
I haven't quite reached the middle-aged female demographic yet, but when I do I will have one advantage over the women who were standing in front of me: I already know that I can't dance!
