shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 10
A good day for a recovery run at Tyson's pace, with John and Simon running rings around us, and to try out my new Mizunos. I had these before and kept them for fast/short stuff - although they don't have much cushioning they have a lot of give, unlike the horrible Brooks Adrenaline.
My current running shoe tally:
2 pairs of Asics 2130s (one red, one blue) which I alternate for longer runs -blue pair is getting a bit flat.
2 pairs of Asics 2120s which are identical to each other and used for orienteering.
2 even older pairs of 2110s - one is for gardening and one for rogaining, though they still have grass seeds in them from the October 12 hour.
1 pair Brooks which are probably a good shoe for someone else, who doesn't wear orthotics. Seriously, if anyone with a wide foot wants a pair of size 7s, they're yours.
1 pair New Balance which are so comfy, but completely impractical for anything off-road because they are loose around the ankles, and I can turn mine on a crack in the pavement. Good dog-walking/recovery run shoes.
2 pairs Mizunos, because I had forgotten about the old pair of Wave Riders in my wardrobe. They have no cushioning left and are trashed because I wore them for trail runs/bushwalking, and they're not robust enough.
That's only 10 pairs :)
