running 35:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

Short suburban jog with lots of stretching before tomorrow's S2S

swimming 20:00 [3] 0.4 km (50:00 / km)

I don't really like sharing the recreation lane with water buffaloes. Sort of had a head-on collision with one of them, which was probably my fault.

running (Belair) 54:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

Officially a recovery run, but his was really just a caching expedition in disguise - ran the flat length of Belair to the redwoods and then found 4 caches on the way back. Or you could say I am taking it easy in the hope of doing the whole Sea to Summit on Sunday. Nothing hurt today, so I may just survive :)

running (Shepherd's Hill) 58:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline

Just a normal run, really, but made sweeter because it was an exercise in procrastination/rebellion against having to work today. (And I detoured to find a cache :) It always surprises me how quiet and peaceful it is in Shepherd's Hill and the commuter traffic noise hardly filters in; or if it does, it's drowned out by the noise of the birds in the trees along the creek. Corellas, galahs and rosellas were all having a great time because they don't have to work today....

running 1:00:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

I got George to drop me off at Pennington Bay in the evening, (after a day trip with the kids & their parents to Stokes Bay) and I ran back to American River, plus 10 min for a side-trip up Prospect Hill, which Matthew Flinders climbed in 1802 - I didn't run up the 512 steps, firstly because they are too rickety to run up, and secondly because I think there actually are less than 512. It was lovely running alongside the lagoon at sunset, with pelicans and black swans and Tammar wallabies all over the place.

running 1:30:00 [3] 15.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

From American River straight up the hill out of town then across to Redbanks/Red Cliffs on the north side of the peninsula. Nice little farm track down to the beach, then I had to come back up & over again. A bit of a plod but nice to be on my own without a 3-and-5-year-old following my every move.

George and I then escaped from the others for the rest of the day and drove to Cape Borda, Harvey's Return, Cape Du Couedic, Admiral's Arch, Remarkable Rocks. It's possible that I may have taken over 200 photos today!
