swimming 25:00 [3]

One day I really want to log which pair of shoes I swam in (ha ha)

running (Shepherds Hill) 55:00 [3] 9.5 km (5:47 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline

The short loop from home. Legs tired but nothing actually hurts. (These shoes are too loose for trail running, I've decided.) Left it a bit late so had to wait for Ayliffes Rd traffic both going and coming. The morning views of the city from the ridge in Shepherd's Hill are always great. Smelled nice after rain but there wasn't any water lying around anywhere so I think the overnight thunderstorm was "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".

running (Belair) 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

So, not being a member of the facebook group "SA trail runners" I didn't know that the default run time is now 6.30. John & I ran around the lake, up to the train line and back via Pines Oval for 23 min exactly, then were joined by Troy, Scott, Nicole, Simon for 57 min approximately: the length of Long gully, up the hill to Upper Sturt Rd, west along Upper Sturt Rd inside the fence on singletrack (you get a clear view all the way north to Brown Hill and beyond) then down through the golf course, on which I have never trespassed before :)

Strengthening and stretching 20 min. Need to do every day until Sunday.

running (Morialta) 55:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 2130

3 falls loop with the group. Am still slow on uphills (always will be) but hip didn't bother me and shins/calves were loose enough to do the downhills at a decent pace. Nice cool night and no sun glare made it easier to see where feet were landing. Jealous of the individuals who went geo-caching though.

12 people can consume a lot of food after running. Thankfully there was a Chinese banquet in front of us.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Hip didn't feel up to tackling what would have been an uphill slog in any direction from our B&B at Kurrajong Heights.

It was, however, a lovely day for a drive up Bells Line of Road and a hike to the edge of the world, namely the cliffs overlooking the Grose Valley. Wildflowers (and cameras) were out in force. I rather like the Blue Mountains.
