running 38:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:20 / km)
shoes: Asics gel 2120

Around the (hilly) streets of Glebe from the YHA, with great views of Sydney harbour. The smell of jasmine and jacaranda after rain is wonderful, and the houses are so quaint. Some of the terrace houses have a frontage which is narrower than the length of the car parked outside them!

Excellent coffee (and breakfast with George) at a tiny gourmet deli on Glebe Point Road afterwards. Why doesn't Adelaide have anywhere decent for coffee?

Strengthening and stretching 20 min.
Off to Sydney tonight for a long weekend - yay!

running long (Belair) 1:20:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Asics gel 2120

With Zara (who had run from home), John & Simon (who were very quiet).
Past the lake, across trainline, past lower & upper waterfalls, to the tap, down through the redwoods, up the hill then all the way back down Long Gully. My hip is still annoying but for the first time in a month shins/calves felt normally tired and not like someone has pumped them full of lead. 20 mins back down Long Gully 'cos I ran a bit faster. Think I will survive Black Hill after all!

Note
(rest day)

stretching and strengthening 20 min(ish) to keep the dog entertained.
My legs have expressed a firm desire not to go to Morialta tonight.

running (recovery) 40:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:40 / km)

Meandering exploration of Shepherd's Hill with Susanne and the boys. Activities included: Troy's Train-line Trot, the Creek Crawl (what do you mean this path doesn't go through?), Nasturtium Nibbling (for the botanically minded) and Scott's Stack (not witnessed by all of us).

A properly fun run :)
